If you are trying to illustrate the foolishness of the thought that Jesus and God are the same person, I agree with you. Jesus and his Father, Jehovah, are 2 different persons.
The Bible clearly says at Ps. 83:18 that Jehovah is the Most High. But at Luke 1 :32, the angel Gabriel informed Mary that she would give birth to the SON of the Most High. So how then could they be the same?

Mary has nothing to do with it. It is God, Jesus and the Holy Ghost. Those three are one. This is how it was explained to me....They are three manifested into one. Just like a man can be a father, son and have a spirit. God, the father..is a son (Jesus) and he has a spirit.

Mary is not on the same level as God. Jesus' merits needed to be applied to her too. They were applied to her before her conception is the difference. Mary is not worshiped but, she is honored as our Mother.
