I would say that both have had a fairly equal hand. Religion in the earlier time periods, science as we reached the modern age.

Good morning, 6of10, I have missed you terribly. It's so nice to see you again.

You have to look at the world’s direction. In the past religion served to free man of his own savage impulses. The problem of religion it is itself enslaving.

Science is the next step of human direction. We have to drop the cloak of past superstition to move intelligently toward our new frontier that is technology based. Acquiring knowledge is our next religion that is a non-religion.

In the end it will not be science or religion that shape us per say. It is the continual moving toward higher existence that will determine our fate. Religion is now becoming our Achilles heel.

Holding on to old ways of thinking will spoil our evolution but that to is part of our learning process.

Religion is just a scare tactic which really does nothing for us here on earth; Other than scare some rouges into behaving. Science has done more, mostly negative stuff to the earth ie. pollution but its science that actually got us to space if it did at all, not faith.

I would say Religion until the middle ages, and then science took off. Over the past 400 years or so, its been mainly scence.
Nowadays thought they seem to have equal parts.

science versus religion, dogmatic religion has stopped many scientist to come forward with new inventions and new insights. so the influence of religion,in the world,(negative or positive) was of equal
importance.
i think nowadays that technology/science
are of more importance.

"Adam & Eve" tells us about ppl who left a home full of all thier needs in search for knowledge (apple). Prior to eating the apple they were in a blissful state without knowledge.

This is simlar to when a child leaves their parents house. They must learn the balance of pleasure along with responsabilities for knowledge; WISDOM.

Science is the 'apple' (knowledge) that we search for and the goal God wants for us before we return to heaven (thanks Jesus) is to gain wisdom of what to do with the knowledge. So when Jesus leads us to heaven, we'll have eternal life and wisdom.

I'd say they are on equal footings right now. Just as many positive and negative things can be said about both.

I would say both. However, I cannot recall any people killing others in the name of science.
