The elbow of the arm pulling the string should be out perpendicular to the bow. The arm holding the bow should be straight. Use caution not to let the forearm turn out and elbow in. The string will painfully whack your arm and you'll have a very nasty bruise!

hi there,keep your bow holding arm as straight as posible, if you bring your elbow in on this arm, chances are you will kiss it with the string as you fire (not a nice feeling),grip the bow and try rolling your wrist to the outside, keeping your arm straight with the bow and comfortable on the grip,practice this stance till you are used to the feel,your arrow arm elbow should be held higher than your anchor point, good luck
