I have been watching the DIY (do it yourself) shows, on tv and the Sell my house type shows ,they do go in and tell the owners to repaint if you have those odd but pretty colors so it attracts the eye, most use soft light colors such as buttercream, light beige etc. i have found beige goes with almost everything, matter of fact I recently painted my guest room light beige with stark white trim and doors and it came out beautiful bought chocolate/beige/buttercream looking valances its lovely.,

Mainly stay with neutral colors. If you go with bold or pastel it may turn the buyers off. Stark white isn't good either, it gives it a "cold" feeling. You want people to view your home as warm and inviting to give it the best selling potential. I would suggest an eggshell or off white color in a semi-gloss finish. Don't use a high gloss. Also, make sure the trim of the room is neat meaning no paint on the glass around the window trim or paint from the walls smeared along the baseboards on the floor. Good luck selling!

I just sold a house and bought a house. I can tell you from experience that NO color is very boring to someone who is looking to buy a house. My house I sold had "some' painted walls/rooms. Nothing crazy- the color was called brown bag from Home Depot. My house I bought had a really ugly pinkish tanish color through the entire house. I have repainted it to make it "my own" which a buyer will do no matter what color your walls are. I think a home for sell with "some" color shows character. This is the BEST neutral color I have found. It's called Ivory Sampler at Home Depot.

I would suggest leaving it white because people have different tastes. Some people might find tan an ugly color for a particular room and not want to waste the time to repaint it.

Stick with the white. Ge the same brand and color if possible. It will make the painting easier. Whoever buys the house will redecorate for their taste.

I would just say to leave it the way it is. The first thing the buyer will do is paint the walls what ever color they want to. Just make the house presentable and depersonalize it.

the problem with going color is it could very easily turn people off if it's not their choice for colours. I would advertise it as a clean pallet, or if you want offer to paint it to the buyers choice of colors.

I would just repaint in off white, that way it will look clean and fresh and be easier for the new buyer to repaint in whatever color they want.

I think that it's better to stay neutral because potential buyer can just hate the colors you choose.
Color is a personal choice

Your realtor could be a large source in this. colorings which at the instant are not overly dramatic, unusual and robust are oftentimes advantageous. Yours sound for the main area somewhat unbiased.
