If you have to choose either "looks or personality" and why?

i'll choose personality any given day. looks would last just for awhile (then you'll see her ugly personality). but girls with so-so look with a great personality would last for a life time.

I used to go for looks until the time I went to a
fancy dress party and met my the man that would become my husband. He was dressed as dracula and had very good theatrical paint on and dyed black hair.
We hit it off straight away, and I felt like this is a
person that I could spend a lot of time with. He
asked to see me again and when I did I had a
complete shock!! I always go for dark hair but
he was very blonde. Not the type that I would
normally be attracted to. So I suppose personality
was the initial attraction. Saying that he had the most
beautiful eyes........

Initially looks but once you have grown to love the person personality for sure. Looks change like the weather but if you have someone with a great personality, they will keep you happy!!!

Personality every time. It would be great if looks went with it, but when you roll over in the morning and this god like face is smiling at you then says the stupidest, uncouth, rage inducing thing ever the charm wears off.

Never choose one over the other.If you cannot have both in the same person you will NEVER be happy and you you will never stay with them.No one in their right mind wants to hook up with someone so ugly that you both have to wear bags, one for them because they are so ugly, and one for you in case theirs comes off.At the same time no one wants to be saddled with a selfish self centered abusive creep either.Hang in ther girlie, you can have the best of both worlds, lots of guys out there dont settle for the first thing that comes along.Be choosey, youre single and you CAN be choosey.

Even though we all have some expectations for looks, personality is definately the most important. If you cant get along or there is no communication or they just materialistic, and just have looks, how long do you think it will last?

Personality- looks will fade and can be easily lost but being with some one who has an amazing personality will make you smile till your old.

personality because looks fade over time. I wont want to be with a hunk with no personality. I will take a average good nature man anyday

Personality because you could be the pretiest person but no one truly likes you. Do you want people to just like how you look or do you want people to truly see your iner beauty? A real friend or boyfriend will not only like you for what you look like but they will like the person you are.
