Get on minocycline, a drug that will help to kill the bacteria. then, wash your face 2 x a day with Purpose bar, found at a drug store. Next, if you are a girl, throw away all of your old makeup that is now contaminated with bacteria. buy only non-comodegenic face products, meaning they have no oil or irritants in them. lastly, get azalex, a spot-fader and acne topical med. this stuff all really worked for me, and I had large cystic acne. now people tell me how beautiful my skin is!!! i never thought that i would see the day!!! good luck. it will go away. also, stress really is a big factor in causing breakouts.

one last thing, don't get too much caffeine, alcohol, or chocolate. you can eat these things, just dont over- do it.

First, become a fan of washing your face!!! Acne is caused for a number of reasons one being whats on your face. Many things in the air get on your face and into your pores. When you touch and pick at your face you are not only rubbing that dirt in but also the natural oils on your fingertips in there too. All that stuff in your pores blocks the oil and sweat glands in your skin and causes it to become inflamed resulting in a zit and /or blackhead. Second, acne is also somewhat related to what you put in your body. Some things like chocolate, caffeine, etc cause small allergic reactions resulting in breakouts. Drinking the recommend amount of water helps tremendously!!
As far as a topical solution, it really is trial and error, not every product works for everyone. Going to a Dermatologist is probably the best thing, but if going at it on your own here are some guideline:

-determine what type of skin you have ( oily, dry, or combination of the two)
-pick a treatment or product that at least has a 1 a cleanser, 2 a moisterizer, and 3 a toner/ astringent.
-stick with it whether you see improvement or not for at least a month (stop only if you have an adverse reaction like severe irratation, redness, peeling, sensitivity etc.)
-try altering your diet ( you don't have to eliminate these things completely - if i did i'd hurt someone)
less sugary snacks
less caffeinated and carbonated beverages
more water

First stop picking at your face!!! You shouldn't use anything like proactive solution---it might dry out your pimples but it also really, really, really dries out your skin. If you don't like to wash your face you are never going to get rid of your acne. So get some disposable face cloths--the kind woth the soap in them already--I suggest neutragena and wash twice a day with those. You should also apply toner to your face after washing and a cream that is for sensitive skin that is non oily. I buy this stuff that is an acne treatment and an acne scar treatment in one. It works really good at getting rid of the discoloration from acne scars--it's called scar zone a. You can find it at any drug store or grocery store.
I hope that helps.

In high school, I too had an acne problem. I found that Clearasil (sp?) and diet made a world of difference. I also washed my face about 3 times a day. The biggest thing you can do is to just keep your face as clean as possible.

i don't really know how to get rid of ance fast or get rid of the scars but i do know a couple of things that can help prevet it.

1. stop picking at it. i know that it's a bad habit but the oil from your fingers makes it worst.

2. wash your face. if you get tired of going to the restroom and doing all of that all the time, you can always go buy the pads that cleanses your face. it's better then nothing at all.

3. when i'm at school, i can feel my face being oily. i buy the oil sheets. clean and clear has them for on 5 dollars and they fit in your wallet so it takes up so space at all. and they make your face less shiny.

4. drink pently of water of course.

5. if you have bangs that goes across your forehead, hold it back sometimes when you are at home and not planning on dress up. the oil from your hair can make it worst.

6. and if you don't know, but if you have a cell phone, after or before you use it, wipe the screen down. because usually when you talk on it, the screen touches your face and collect the oil. and then when you use it over and over without wiping it, ance tends to grow around the cheek where the phone lies.

i hope that i was able to help you out somehow. good luck.

Get Rid Of Acne Permanently?

omg i know, im 18 and just started getting acne. its so hard to get rid of and its embarassing...the truth is you need to find some sort of beauty regimin and follow it. i recently bought Murad Acne Care. So far so good, although it does get worse before it gets better. dont switch from product to product. you are just going to end up hurting your skin with all different chemicals. a lot of acne products have Benzyl peroxide. this will dryyy out your skin, which means you need a really good lotion. try Murad, it doesnt contain Benzyl peroxcide, but does contain really good ingredients, plus a full refund even if the bottles are completely empty when returned! good luck PS: you can always visit a dermatologist, they will tell you everything you need to know about YOUR SKIN specificly. hope it helps...

Try Clean&Clear products. Personally, the Proactive stuff did not work for me and it was a waste of money. If you have scars from picking, you should try Mederma, it doesn't quite make them disappear, but makes them fade. Hope that helped a bit.
