Asuming that the Bible is truth...(sorry, laughed too hard just now)...NO. There was no mother to carry the fetus and therefore no need for one. But I'm fairly certain he'd have one huge scar near the bottom of his rib cage.

The Bible says we were all created in God's image right? Apparently not only did Adam have a belly button, but so does God. Interesting story might be how God got his.

Here's some more "proof" that he did:

It's from the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel in The Vatican, Rome, Italy. Michelangelo painted it for Pope Julius II della Rovere in 1508 and is one of the most famous religious paintings. If it's good enough for the Pope to walk under everyday without saying, "...y'know, he really shouldn't have a belley button - someone ought to get up there and fix it...", then it's good enough for me :)

Nobody knows. You are not the first to ask. An awful lot of classical painters finessed the issue by having the stem of the fig leaf, a stray branch or a casually draped hand cover the spot Adam and Eve's belly buttons would be, if they had them.

Given that it's the residue from the umbilical cord, and Adam was created right there on the spot, how could he (since he was not born). Unless of course God created one for him, but why bother?
Adam was unique, he was also born without original sin (until he and Eve messed it up for the rest of us), so he was different from the rest of us already anyway.

I don't believe he had reason to have one since he was created rather than born. Since a belly button is essentially a "scar" caused after birth I wouldn't think it would be a genetic factor.

ALL humans have a belly BUTTON, unless there is a birth defect. The bible does not say anything about this, but we are human just like he is.

i heard someone say that if you see any portrait of adam or eve and he/she has a belly button, then the portrait is wrong.

I like the pointing and laughing answer.

That is an interesting question. It is likely that he did not (because he would have no need for one). I don't see why he would need one. The idea that he would look strange is a flaw developed in our society because we only accept a particular image as the norm. But my answer is no.
