Well, I would talk to both of them and tell them how you are feeling. Tell them that it makes you uncomfortable and if they cared about you they would stop. Ask them if they have any leftover feelings, if you can handle that. It may be hard to let go, but if he isn't treating you properly you may have to break up with him. I mean, a little flirting here and there doesn't hurt. But with his ex, and you best friend? That crosses the line. If he is neglecting you then dump his @ss.

Tell him you don't like the flirting - you don't deserve to be treated like you are not the most important girl to him, but flirt with him as well.... be fun with him, he's with you, not her.

Guys like to be flirted with, and hey, you're 14, so he's not a lot older/younger right? You're both just finding out about these things, don't take it too seriously, and don't get too serious, yeah maybe you should dump him and go and have fun. Now I don't mean sleeping around or stuff like that, but go and be friends with guys! See how he likes you being independent!

My BF is a LOT older than me, and I hate it if someone else flirts with him, even though they don't really mean anything by it (I still hate it and feel awful) but it wouldn't really be appropriate for him to stop it at the time. What I'm saying is, they don't really get over enjoying being flirted with.

Also, it depends on what kind of flirting, if it's just joking and messing around - he does that with his male friends, yes? But you wouldn't think he was gay - you see her as a threat. And if he would cheat on you, then he's not worth it.

Your mum doesn't want you to get hurt, and she knows how guys can be!

Dumping him is entirely your decision, talk first, then decide if it's the best thing for you.

well first of all, this all depends on how long you and your boyfriend have been dating, and how commited you really are. Second, no friend should EVER do anything like this to you. I would not be friends with her. That's just wrong. If your boyfriend is flirting with her back, he's not worth it either. I know it might be a little hard to let either of them go, but its so much better in the long run. I hope u make the right decision!

You are only children
why act like adults , in some sort of soap !!!!!!

What 14 year old, has a steady boyfriend
Come to think of it!!!
what friend of a 14 year old, is old enough to have an ex

Stop being so silly ! Grow up for goodness sake

switch off the computer and go play, in the fresh air

I can see you have , homework waiting to be done ....

hon of course your mom is going to say that, to her no guy is good enough for her daughter, especially at your age. If you bff is his ex then of course there are som feelings there, you can't be surprised about that. Just take solice in knowing that he is YOUR bf, I highly doubt he is cheating on you or anything like that, you're all too young, it's just flirting. Married people flirt too!

Honestly you should, see that may be the reason shes flirting with him. If you break up with him now, your feelings won't get pulled into more drama. Hope ot turns out well, good luck :)

Your best friend is being weird. And guy's are gonna be guy's sometimes, so your mother may be right. Best friends don't date best friend's ex's. He's acting like "a hand me down."

So send him back to Goodwill! :) You deserve better. G-luck
