This is my first time putting a relaxer on my new growth. I just had braids(my own hair corn-rowed), can I still perm my hair?
And what can I do to make sure that my hair wont break off, while Im perming my hair?
Thanks.

it depends on what kind of perm youre putting in your head..you can still get a perm...alot of people say perms break my hair off or perms made me bald...thats not the case all the time..it propably was a bad perm or you didn't kno what you were doing..but put some vaseline or protective gel on your edges and on your ears so that it won't burn and leave ugly scabs!

well if you have your normal hair in, then that is fine, you can perm, just follow the directions, read the directions as well, relaxers are no joke.

Make sure you grease your scalp good and maybe if your not comfortable you should go to a professional.
