My family was traditionally African Methodist. From the few times I went to my family's church when I was younger and the regular church going that is mostly Missionary Baptist I can not think of any difference. After looking at http://archives.umc.org/interior.asp?mid=1648, I saw that they hold basically an Arminian theology, although it's a little misleading if one statement of faith says man is "destitute and inclined to evil" but apparently not so destitute that we cannot make a decision for Christ. The clincher is that "Christ died for all", which verifies that not-so-depraved stance. They believe in infant baptism, but I can't tell whether this comes from a covenant theology. "Entrance into the household of faith" parallels OT circumcision, but I didn't see it reflected as such.

I noticed you asked about other beliefs, and a chart can be found at http://www.religionfacts.com/christianity/charts/denominations_beliefs.htm. Some of the statements are a little misleading so you may want to drill down a bit to find out exactly what is taught.
