I think certain people are simply more spiritual, it's in their genes.
I, by nature, am a skeptic,
so when it doesn't make sense and even the dullest person can point out easy contradictions, it's not going to fly with me.

Rising above your indoctrination (programming) and seeing thing as they really are is where true freedom exists.
God is a concept not a real person. The only real force in the universe is creation. Not creation from a God but of you and other life forms.
If you believe there is no God that is your own creation. If you believe there is a God that is also your creation regardless how you came to that conclusion. The key is finding what motivates your creation. The only creation to be trusted comes from your own self determination based on ongoing open minded pursuit of knowledge with none bias observation.
The author of this question needs to look at the intention of his own creation based on his own current state of development.

Most people's brains were programmed by evolution to accept irrational religious beliefs and practices. They produce more surviving children than people who think clearly, which is why they outnumber atheists. It's survival of the fittest, not survival of the smartest. Amen.
