1-mean iatrogenic= pertaining to produced by the physician cuz I learned tha iatr\o means treatment so I don't get it .

2- adeniods= I learned that iod mean resemble and aden gland so does adenoids mean resembling the gland .

Iatrogenic means doctor induced as you say...but is used in medicine to mean a condition brough on by one treatment for another condition. ie A side effect.
Aden refers vaguely to the shape. You must remember that many of the body parts were named when the internal workings of the body were not very well understood.

adenoids are like your tonsils only they are at the base of your nose

iatros means doctor in greek
iatrogenic means the doctor brought it on you
If a doctor orders a blood test and the needle carries infection then you get infection in the arm - this is an iatrogenic infection
