These symptoms are not something that should be taken lightly! You didn't mention how old you are, but symptoms like the ones you describe can be caused by several conditions, including stroke. A "mini stroke," or TIA (transient ischemic attack) only lasts briefly and does not cause permanent damage as you described. Symptoms like these can be serious and only a PHYSICIAN is qualified to determine their cause and make a diagnosis!!!

Some information about strokes:

Strokes have several causes, but the two most common are narrowing of the arteries and thrombus (blood clot). When the blood supply to a particular part of the brain is limited or restricted, signs of a stroke occur. Unfortunately, without immediate treatment, this tissue becomes necrotic and dies, and that portion of the brain is forever lost.

Severe headaches are common with occlusive strokes (strokes that are caused by blood clots). Conditions that commonly cause occlusive stroke include: 1) Dehydration; 2) long distance plane travel; 3) clotting problems; 4) cigarette smoking; 5) mitral valve disease (prolapse or stenosis); and 6) heart rhythm arrhythmias (artrial fibrillation, etc).

Please do NOT wait to seek medical advise.

I wish you much luck and good health!

You need to start by seein your primary doctor. It sounds as though you may have had a stroke or even a mini stroke perhaps, or possibly a seizure. There is rehab once the cause is known, but this sounds more organic than emotional.

You might be experiencing the Alzheimer's type disorder. This happens when you need to be constantly reminded by others (ie. having to stick notes to remind yourself all the time/having others remind you of certain events that you just can't seem to remember)
