Okay I'm a little germaphobic and I just came back from a sleepover with two other girls and one went home because she got sick. Does this sound like food poisong or a virus?

Here are the details:
her dad was sick monday
Her brother was sick yesterday
her mom was sick today
and now she's sick
she has two other sisters who have yet to be sick

now here's why my dad thinks it was food poisonig:
she seemed perfetly normal untill after we ate a snack then she looked sick and vomited with in half an hour. if it was a virus wouldn't of she felt sick? she only threw up once before she went home

I don't know of anyone outside of her family that caught it

please what do you think? I am scared to death I'm gonna catch it.

More details:
About 30-45 min before she was sick she was complaining that she was hungry

my dad thinks that maybe like they were all drinking out of a bad milk carton at seperate times or something like that.

Food poisoning takes at least 24 hours to affect someone , so it is unlikely her whole family was poisoned because they were sick on different days (not at all at the same time)

A virus on the other hand would work like that, if her Dad was exposed and then got sick Monday, then gave it to your bro who got sick yesterday, that was just about enough time for it to incubate after his Dad gave it to him before he got sick with it. The mom and your friend were just a little slower to catch it.

Unless you drank after them or got your face coughed in or put your hands in your mouth after touching something they touched, after they had their hands in their mouths or nose. You probably won't get sick.

I'd have to go with a fast acting virus. It's unlikely that so many people would eat contaminated food without realizing it...although possible.
What was the snack. If there were any dips, this could be a cause. Dry snacks, then not likely a cause.
