I don't have a problem with it on any level.
I don't because I hate needless suffering and I don't need the fish.
A spearfisherman can only get enough for him and his family to live on (money or food). Unlike collectors of coral or shellfish.
No overall fish-loss, even if everyone did it (probably).
The thing I don't like is they don't look around before pulling the trigger. I had a couple of near misses whilst snorkeling

I enjoy it,mind you the shop keeper got very cross,and chased me out of the aquarium !

much better method as it only select what you want unlike net fishing or angling you dont know what you can catch.
