How long should you wait?

Depends what you've eaten and what you're about to play.

If the answers are extra large Kebab with chili sauce and trampolining, I'd leave it a couple of days.

As long as you are going to stay relatively upright and won't be subjected to sudden changes of direction, extreme g forces or external pressure, leaving at least an hour for a light lunch or 2 if it was heavy is good.

By staying on your feet or going for a gentle walk for 20 minutes after the meal, you'll stimulate your digestion, thereby slightly decreasing the waiting time.

Wait at least an hour. The reason is when you eat...a lot of blood is needed in the intestines to take up the nutrients from the food, so there is not as much left for the muscles to work effectively and it can cause cramp. This is why you shouldn't swim either after a large meal because you may get cramp while you are in deep water.

Before you plan to exercise eat only a light meal, wait an hour and you'll be fine.

Hope that help.
