Hypocrisy. How does the secular world view us Christians, when we make mistakes? I'm only expecting seculars to answer, so no need to throw Bible verses at me :)

I am only one person in the secular world, so my opinion doesnt count for a lot. I see christians overall as people who are trying to do what they feel is right. I dont judge individuals, as I dont know what has happened in their lives to make them the way they are. Now, I do feel like a lot of "public" christians, like televangelists are phony and power/money hungry. I have no use for those guys. When Haggard was exposed I felt such a great disgust at his hypocrisy, condeming gays.

The world view Christians as the most insane people nature has never seen, people who believe one of the strangest things and who not only believe in the existence of God - but go even to the extreme of saying, with sure certainty, God is their father. That, according to the world, is the most cynical of statements to be uttered by man. And a person who confidently confess God as his father, is not only insane, according to the world, but beyond rehabilitation.

Why do scientist judge Christians when there are other cultures that say kill people if they reject our god when My God says love others and do not kill another being unless they are threatening your life. By the way I`m a Christians. Ps My God wants you to come to him because he loves you he sent Jesus Christ Just so you could come to him but he`s letting you make a choice so use your life wisely!

As human! Secularists don't think that you think you're perfect. We know that you sin, and ask god for forgiveness.
There are as many kinds of Christians as they are kinds of Atheists. Some are humble and willing to admit mistakes and they teach me lessons in being open minded. Others can be assehats who never admit to being wrong about anything and think they are in Jesus' Top 5. It just depends on the person.

Mistakes are one thing.
Dating a male prostitute for years while preaching against homosexuality is another. Allowing Priests to molest boys and just moving them from place to place is also another thing. I could go on, but you get the point.

a little deluded in general, it has nothing to do with making mistakes. unless you mean mistakes like the conquistadors, the inquisition, the troubles in ireland or the inquisition. That was not a little deluded, that was psychotic.
