Do feminists, who claim that women are the physical equal of men, give other feminists a bad name?

I'm all for feminism provided the premise is that women are the intellectual equal of men. I believe that women are as intelligent as men, and should always be treated as such. There are smart women and smart men, dumb women and dumb men.

However, when a feminist says that women are physically equal to men I can't help but laugh, because it is total nonsense. When a feminist says something like that how can anyone take them seriously? We all know that if 1000 men and 1000 women were stranded on an island and were forced to fight with eachother, we all know that men would win easily. If we wanted to we could make all the women our slaves, so how does that make women the phyiscal equal of men?

If feminists accept that men are physically superior to women, then I will start taking them seriously.

Dude , we men know were are stronger, feminist say that to sleep better. For the ***** that says she beat her husband that is because he is a true gentlemen, if he hits her he might do seriuos damage with one blow women do not understand this.

We feminists are aware that, on a societal scale, men are physically stronger than women. However, we are also aware that some individual women are equal to men in terms of physicality. This is why we encourage growing female participation in law enforcement, the military, and the trades. It's not for every woman, but it's definitely for some.

Your claim that the 1000 men on the island could make the 1000 women your slaves is absurd. Only a few would agree to such a thing. The rest would take care of the planning while you did the dirty work.

I don't think all women are equally as physically strong as men. However, I do think there are some women out there who are just as strong as men physically. Look at some of the body builder women.
Now, you also have to take into account women give birth, and most men couldn't handle the thought of something that big coming out of a hole that small. Women have some physical strength that men do not have in that sense. But as far as fighting etc as you say, yeah, MOST women are not going to win in that situation. But I dont know that I'd go as far as saying physically superior. Superior just sounds like an ugly word. You have to take into account all the differences...which sex would go whining to mommy first when they are sick...not women. We were taught to tough it out and still get outta bed take care of the kids, the husband, make dinner, go to work etc.....First sign of a headache and most men are on the couch whining and we have to take care of them. So superior doesn't cut it for the description. Need a new word for an agreement there.

Interesting point. It led me to think about what if all men just sat on their butts for the rest of their lives? How many buildings would be built that the feminists could meet in? How would the feminists get to their meetings when their cars break down and they can't afford new ones? How interesting would professional sports be? Who's going to connect power lines to the feminists' homes and buildings where they meet? I'm not saying that these things are IMPOSSIBLE for women to do, but I know how difficult it is for a strong, able- bodied man to do these things sometimes, so I can imagine the difficulty women would have trying to do them! Nevertheless, the bible says that women were created as a helper to man, as a compliment to him. It also states that women are "the weaker vessel". Aside from the obvious evidence we have around us, if God said it, that's good enough for me!
