You could just let it heal naturally. However, if you are daring, you can CAREFULLY drill a hole in it and let the pressure from the blood out. Be patient, it's going to take the better part of a year for the new nail to grow in underneath it. I still remember the day the old nail came off. It was great.

I smashed a toenail and it came half off. I went to emerge at the hospital, where they injected local anasthetic and removed the toenail. It was no biggie! It took about a day of staying off it, along with some pain, but then healed pretty quickly.

Because the pressure is causing pain, I would suggest that you have it removed. Ask for a couple of painkillers to tide you over. Then you'll be fine.

I hate to say it but you have to make a hole through the nail to get the blood out therefore relieving the pressure. It hurts I did the same thing. I heated up a needle and pushed it through the nail but the pain went away in 10 Min's.The nail fell off weeks later but it grew back.

since it is pain...dun touch it try to exert minimum pressure on the toe...go to the doctor immediately cause the doctor would know what to do best although some may say let it heal on its own but seriously its not advisable cause it can be dangerous and cause infection. When there's infection u may have to cut off that toe.I'm not joking...go to the doctor immediately there's internal bleeding.....

Make sure it stays clean. Clean it with alcohol or just water and soap daily. Then just let it heal naturally.

ouch.
The only way to treat is is with time (to let it heal itself) and a margarita (for you!).
Make sure it doesn't get infected. If it does seek medical assistance
