hey Jimbo - welcome back - - general question but the general answer framed in a positive light - Thai people like Thailand.. they like/need other Thai people to chit chat with, so it is helpful to hook into a Thai community there.. and the degree of English spoken is important too.. In USA we hooked into Thai radio stations via internet and this helped my wife on her long visits to USA.. but food is an issue as well... if you are bringing a Thai lady to live w/you in Aussie land, she will go through changes, possibly an increased dependency on you etc.. lots going on.. - good luck - but at least, not too long a flight home for her..

They do. As Spanky says, hook up into a local Thai community so that they feel at home. Great for interaction.
