I Used to when I was First Born-Again.
You see, getting your Spirit Recreated will Affect Your Soul, Alot of Power comes into Your Spirit when you are Recreated.
Then, several Years Later, I was Taught that the Bible is a Translation.
Then I was Taught Jesus is the Word of GOD.
Then I was Taught that the "Word of GOD" is in the Bible.
(I was Taught alot wasn't I?)
There are some confusing words and phrases in the Bible, even looks like it contradicts itsself too at times.
But, the WORD of GOD (Jesus) is Always the Same, Never Changes and Never Contradicts and HE is in the Bible.
Probably in All of them more or less.
Truth is EverWhere, Thank GOD!
Hope this Helps.

Do you still believe in Santa Claus? Do you believe what people tell you on April Fools Day? Do you believe the Duck Tales are true?
I could think and ask you some more of such questions. Let me just answer yours: No I do not believe every word of the Bible. I am an adult, okay? You can't buy me with that anymore. Did I say Mother Goose is a fictional character? Tell me that a giant spider fell from the sky. What was it doing there and how did it get all the way up there? Can spiders fly?
I live in a real word and I believe only things I can see or sense or touch. That way I know they are there. However, if they show me something on TV, it does not mean it's real. You know the modern technology: all those computer effects and stuff...
Should I go on and on??? I think I've said enough.

I believe every word of God! When man got his hands on the Bible he took some stuff out, added a few words in, those are the ones I will not believe! Note: which Bible do you believe? Who put it together? Man or God? What if Mary had written a book and some religious person said nope, lets take it out! Is it the word of God? It's still, around. Just not in that cute little package Man put together! What if Muslims had a few books that belonged, maybe some poor old widow woman wrote one that God told her too back in the days of Christ, but Man said nope! Just the Prophets we choose.

Actually I think it depends on the Bible version which you are talking about for I hear there are so many versions of the Bible edited for easy comprehension. But some of them as I hear defend sins. e.g I hear one has in it that God created Adam and Steve; not Eve. Take for instance that it is true, then it defends homosexuality.
Believe what the Bible says no matter what if at least it can be trustworthy. I also had this problem recently. I know antichrists are around and since most Bibles prophesy about them, just know then that the words in the Bible are true. God loves us and will not fail anyone who seeks for the truth.

The validity of scripture based upon facts is unquestionable. 66 books written over a period of 1500 years by 40ish authers from all walks of life, from rich to poor, from educated to down right uneducated, and they all agree with one another on topics ranging from sex, money, worship, to relationship. To get 2 groups of people to all agree on 1 topic, as yahoo answers has so aptly shown is virtually impossible.
Also there have been MANY archeological finds that have substantuated the claim that what the Bible says is true, such as the finding of the Hitite peoples. For a long time the Bible was said to be a farse because of the large civilization called the Hitites but now they have been found in archeology and thus once again the Bible is THE leading source of archeological digs (in the middle east) The dead sea scrolls have proven that there has been almost no change in the scriptures for at least 2000+ years as the Isahah scrolls showed the Bible we have now to be 95%+ acurrate and the inacuracies of the less than 5% is puncutation or gramatical differences.
I could go on and on but I wont. The biggest evidence that I see that the Bible is believable is the evidence that I see in my own life from reading it. I was a womanizer, a sex addict, a very prideful idividual because of the accomplishments that I made in my line of work, and this description is sugar coated but when I read the Bible and saw Who it is It was talking about. The Christ, who is Jesus. I saw myself for who I really was and surrendered to Him. The change was not immediate but the more I read, the more like Him I become. By beholding we become changed the Bible says.
For those that dont agree. Read it for yourself. Many of you base your opinions on what others have said. Or on BAD examples of those that say they are Christians, but only profess to be so. Read it for yourself. Dont take someones word for it. I urge you to find out for yourself. I read it not believing but you cant argue with fact. (well you could but it doesnt help ) ;)

EVERY word cover to cover.
Heb 4:11-12-13-14
The word of God is quick and powerful
sharper then any two edge sword...
cutting even to the dividing of soul and spirit
and of the Joints and the marrow..
and is a discerner of the intents and the thoughts
of the heart.
NEITHER is there anything that is hidden from God...all things
are naked and open unto the eyes of whom we have to do.
This is the God that we have to explain ALL that we have done.

The problem is not to believe at, but only to know that Bible isn't the story of the relation of God with man, but the story of the relation of man with his God. If you read the Bible, you can see a progression of the meaning of God among humanity. First, God was revengeful, then armies God, then He become always more merciful. So isn't God changing, it's man that change during the centuries and makes always more perfect his idea of God. Then..... to arrange all things, Jesus arrived among us.

Yes, I believe the bible is what it claims to be, given by inspiration of God. By the way, I did not always believe this. I've been in bible study for, oh about ten years now....over the years I came to believe this.
