It is a really tiny roundabout with no hump, just some white lines on the tarmac.
I think its illegal but not entirely sure.

Of course its not illegal to go all the way around a mini roundabout, same as a normal roundabout.

Just driving right around a roundabout isn't illegal and millions of people have probably done this after missing a turn off. In some cases, especially if traffic is impeding your exit, it may be safer to go right round the roundabout again.

It could be illegal to go round and round and round for no reason as this could be classed as a hazard, failure to control or not showing due care and attention.

power around the centre markings at mini-roundabouts, taking the smoothest line to the mandatory go out, if the markings are purely painted on the line (not raised up). constantly taking into consideration that the centre markings ought to be slippery whilst moist. highway Code (rule 164) :- all automobiles would desire to bypass around the mandatory markings except they're bodily incapable of doing so.

Of course its not illegal, its the safest way to correct your journey if you've gotten lost....by the way, you do have to sing the tune to The Magic Roundabout though.....

No, if you are talking English law but if you continue circling the roundabout the police may pounce on you for obstruction

Not unless there is a sign saying you cannot. I often miss the turning in strange locations and the safest way is to go around again.

No it is not illegal but you would be insane to want to do so.
