According to the bible, on the 3rd day God created vegetation with fruits bearing off trees & stuff. BUT the sun was created on the 4th day. How could the trees grow or even bear (which occurs in seasons) without the sun.

Also how did u get 3 days before (without the sun & what was used for the measurement of time)?

The bible was written by bronze age men who tried to explain nature and the world the best they could based on what they knew. Since they didn't know the sun was a star and other stars were suns their words were incorrect. Had this been the word of god the facts would have been correct. They are not therefor the explanations were false like any other mythology like the earth was on the back of a giant turtle etc. Simply stated without the gravitational pull of the sun the earth would have spun out to oblivion. The truth is suns are created first then their sat elites. We have observed the births and deaths of solar like systems through telescopes. Look at the Hubble website and you will see how planets are truly formed and their suns always come first. The earth was no exception. The moon was formed differently than Genesis states. We know that by studying the moon rocks. The bible is simply a mythology.

On the first day, God created the light and darkness to separate from light to darkness. He called the light as sun light while the darkness ,he called it as evening. On the second day, He created Heaven and earth including water, plants and trees and on the third day, he said that the sky will appear day to night and then He created the stars, then comes the night and morning which is on the fourth day. It is on the first day that God created the sun, the on the sec onbd day, the plants and trees. You are definitely wrong on your interpretation of the Bible. You have not read very well and have not understood that there was a day and night to measure the day that comes before the other day. Let us pretend that the sun was created after the creation of trees and plants. It is within the power of God that the trees and plant will still live before your alleged creation of plants and trees. Please understand very well the bible if you could not still understand, ask the help of God.

Sorry, but if we believe in God, we should be stupid thinking that we taking Bible's words literally. If you have to resume a long story, you can only use an example or a 'parable' to mean what you are trying to say. So, in the Creation story you have to note the progression of the conscience of it. First, the things that have conscience only of themselves, but they aren't able to condition and to relate with any other thing. Second, the 'flora' and animals, it's a second 'status' of conscience. They can relate with similar others but by evolution, necessity and instinct. Then man arrives, it's the perfecting of the Creation, 3rd status of conscience, we can have conscience of ourselves, changing, inventing, exceeding our instincts, entering in relation with everyone, increasing knowledge, using the Creation (for free) for our necessity and our happiness, and so on. Isn't it?

PS - I'm very sorry this wasn't the right asking for my answer.
I've made a mistake.

The bible is not authentic as it has been changed over the years and there are different contradicting versions of it, but for me the creation story is the only logical explanation. Visit the link below for better answer:

The Christian Church contradicts itself, just like it's book the bible. Because religion was used as a threat back in the early days, nobody would question wot was said and therefore it stood as fact, although it definitely belongs in the fiction section. Christianity and the bible is really f*cked up, I'm so glad that when i was born, religion had already been shown where to stick itself, and i didn't have to listen to this contradictory ****

The sun is not the only light. Everything is possible for God. This creation thing has never been an obstacle for me to follow God, it is more about my own shortcomings that made it difficult time to time. I believe in the Bible record. It is a mistake to think that partial record is false.

God was the source of light for the plants, when God said let there be light, there was light. The creation is an ACTIVE CREATION, GOD DID IT, it did not just happen, like this creation, we follow a similar pattern, first we plan then we implament. You don't think God planned to have a sun Before he started?

Since "God is light", I can easily see how plants could grow without sunlight. Also, since it was only one day and night (and yes, that's 24 hours in our measurement of time), that's no big deal.

You know the timeline but you don't know the God who created the timeline. If god wants to sustain life - plants, trees, etc- without the use of the sun don't you think he can do it?

god bless

Do not look for any organized relgion's doctrine to be entirely
self-consistant.

That's not what religion is for.

Religion offers spiritual guidance, gives you a sense of community
and a common sense of purpose.

None of the big religions are entirely free of inconsistancies.
