I am a student and I dont have a TV in my room. But I watch movies and other videos through PC and internet.

You do need a licence. Anything showing TV needs a licence for it, so TV's, PC's with cards, Mobiles, Internet...

If you're receiving a TV signal via a USB dongle or something similar, yes, you have to have a TV license. If you're downloading TV shows and movies, you don't need one (but you're probably breaking an entirely different law).

no let hope they don't think of that one. did you know to can also buy satellite TV on your computer which does not require a TV licence only internet, it costs around £3.00 a month and you get channels from all around the world.

British law states that you MUST have a television licence for 'any equipment capable of receiving a television broadcast'.

That means televisions, videos, DVD recorders, PCs with TV cards, etc, etc.

YES YOU DO!!!! anything that recieves tv has to have a licence. phone tv licence if you are worried or look on their web site

No...if you download the things is difrent..
by the way ckeck http://www.yourcanal.com there you will found many channels, from all over the world :-) for free, and you dont have to install nothing!
