ring your vet and arrange to see the nurse. For the other two dogs get Frontline pipettes from the Vets. Not cheap but work 100% to prevent fleas. Whatever you do, don't ignore it and pet shop stuff usually doesn't work very well. You will also have to treat her bedding and everywhere in the house that she goes. Best of luck.

As stated in previous answers frontline from your local vets you need not make an appointment just call in and ask for it.
Its perfectly safe for the pups and they will not need to be treated as the protection will come from mum.
Check your dog over with a flea comb and if you find any dirt under the fur put this into a drop of water if the water turns red this is a sure sign that they are flea dropping

I'd check with the vet to see if Advantage is safe for a pregnant pooch. The over the counter crap doesn't work so don't waste your time! Flea shampoo is probably fine as a temporary measure, but you will probably also have to get the dogs out of the house for about 5 hours so you can bug bomb the place to make sure they stay gone. I've been down this road a couple of times and a combination of Advantage and the bug bomb is quick, simple and complete. Again, though...check with the vet as to whether the Advantage is safe. If not, I'm sure they will have an alternative to it. A phone call won't cost you anything and you won't have to pay for an office visit if you are just picking up a treatment to use at home. Good luck!

Unfortunately flea bites transmit tapeworm, which means the unborn pups also get infected. The best idea is a trip to the vets for worming and de-fleaing, also check her vaccines are up to date as that is all the immunity the pups get for the first 8 weeks of life.
The pups also need worming regularly after they're born and the vet can explain how to do it and give you the stuff thats effective and safe.

Frontline is labeled OK I think for flea protection in pregnant moms... but treat all your dogs.. smile... you can always call the 800 number on the box, just to be safe or your local vet can also answer that question... but I do think Frontline is OK... JUST DONT USE HARTZ!!!they are a scary company and i have seen animals die form their products.....AND STAY AWAY FROM SHAMPOOS AND COLLARS!!! THEY DONT WORK !! they could possibly harm you dog or her unborn fetus's... Garlic is something my mom uses but its has to be in the dogs system like all their life and she still gets an occasional flea or tick.. its not 100%....smile....good luck

Frontline Plus and the regular Top Spot are the only brands approved for use on pregnant dogs. And I highly recommend it for your other dogs too. The plus is the only brand that is waterproof. I posted a link to the home page below. I would browse the site really good, I remember there is a short video demo on it about the product and how to use it.

to function directly to what "unique" stated, even nevertheless they're diverse species, each so often cat fleas gets on canines, and canines fleas gets on cats. There are even rabbit fleas which exist, yet whilst my bunny had fleas, they weren't rabbit fleas in any respect, they have been cat fleas! Sounds complicated, would not it?

Talk to your local vet. There are topical flea treatments that can be used but you have to be sure to buy the proper one for the dogs weight and age. You may want to get an all year flea treatment to prevent the problem. Many have other prevention medicine in them as well for worms, ticks and mosquito's.

all you can do is get a flea brush and try brushing them ,although not to sure about flea shampoo if they can be used if they weren't safe they would say on the bottle.
The other dogs could be treated if they were kept away from the pregnant one for a while.

The other two dogs have probably got them now too. You can try flea shampoo or spray, and then you will have to spray your house to get rid of them. They are virtually impossible to get rid of once they are there though, unless you get something good from the vet like Advantage.
