You can become anything you want to be. I, also want to be a pilot and I'm already working on my pilots license; I'm 15 and female. Someday I would like to fly the space shuttle so I'm starting early. Eileen Collins is my hero and she was the first woman to command and pilot the space shuttle. Nothing ever stopped her from what she wanted to do. Just stay in school and get good grades and read as much as you can about planes. I used to go to the library when I was in the third grade and check out every book they had on planes and I would go home and read them.
Here's a little more advice: Don't let anyone tell you that you can't be what you want. If you have a dream you have to be willing to work for it and that dream is not going to be given to you. There are going to be ups and downs. So if you really want to see something come true and you really want to be able to do something in your life, you have to accept the responsibility of working hard to achieve it. I think about that every day and that's what drives me to want to become an astronaut and fly the space shuttle. Good luck in becoming a pilot, it's really not that hard. I mean I'm doing it and I'm only 15.

You didn't really give us enough information. What country are you in? Do you want to fly in the military, as an airline pilot, or just as a private pilot?
Being female is no barrier to being a pilot, but in the US military at least, female pilots are still not allowed to fly combat missions in most cases.
I have no idea what the degree of eyeglass correction you gave means, but for most military pilots, 20/20 vision is required. Airlines are a bit less strict, but you usually need no worse than 20/40. The last I read the FAA was still not quite sure about whether to consider surgery as a "correction", but this was some time ago. Of course, this applies to the US; I have no idea what other countries require in terms of eyesight.
Add a few comments and provide some of the info I asked above, and we might be able to give some more detailed answers.

Yes, you can be a pilot, in fact, for females, getting a job at a regional airline is almost easier than it is for a guy because they are trying to level the playing field between men and women in the field. As it stands there are many many more men than women but i recently "dead headed" or flew to meet my connection on a CRJ and there was an all-lady crew... as for the glasses, if they make your vision 20/20 you wont have any problem.

What extremely sexist state are you living in that considers it "unfortunate" to be female. YES!!! As long as you have vision that is correctable to 20/20 or better and you have all your proper ratings/hours and can get hired by and airline or accepted into the air force there is nothing stopping you. I have a great deal of respect for women in the cockpit because there is a very manly attitude towards being a pilot and because they worked just as hard as I did to get into one of the the 2 seats in the cockpit.

Whether you are male or female has nothing to do with you becoming a pilot. So the answer is YES you can be a pilot. just stay in school, study, and get good grades.Someday you could pilot the space shuttle. and I'm not kidding.

Females can be pilots but 20/20 vision without glasses is required in the military. You can have lasic surgery or a lense implant.
