Should you staple your resume and cover letter together?

It would look more professional if you use a cover letter without staples if you are mailing the resume. If you are planning on delivering it in person, which is a good idea, than use a plastic see-thru cover.

I wouldn't because often resumes are forwarded separately. Use a paperclip instead that way it keeps pages together but they can be separated more easily.
