well like every where in this world you have to be careful
like don't go in the bushes or go in isolated places alone .
get to know locals ,but to say Africa is a dangerous place I don't think so ,it's not a rich continent but it's safe and very fun
I have lived in Africa USA and Europe .
I love Africa . people enjoy life and have more fun .
I hope you can go and enjoy , take chances in life you will see what you are missing .
I will be there this summer with my kids and husband .we are planing to go to Kenya Uganda and Rwanda.

I really don't think so, except for the designated 'wildlife' areas! As for the people........I think they are more friendly and civilised than the rest of the world cares to acknowledge!!! If you have not been to Africa, then you have not seen the world.
