oh geez :):),, so many,,,, all Grateful Dead (and GD related shows, great or not as great: Garcia with Zappa included),,, any shows at the Auditorium Theater in Chicago and those range from Pink Floyd ( in the 70's) to Dimeola to Dylan,, then theres The Allman Bros w/ Greg playin guitar, ok,, all Allman shows whether it was Toyler, Betts, and or Haynes or maybe it was Peter Gabriel on the Sledge Hammer tour,, oh man!! Trower at the Hammond Civic Center w/ general admission seating,, all the shows that had Judas Priest on the bill but never headlined (5 or 6) maybe Skynard two weeks before the plane crash,, wholly crap!!!! Junior Wells and Buddy Guy at the Kingston Mines WOW,,, or maybe Johnny Winter in that dive in Hammond,, nah it had to be Ray Charles at this 3000 seat joint ,,, no i got it,, this was the best to date for me,,, it was Crosby, Stills and Nash at that same place ( the 3000) the three played just them and guitars David was fresh outta jail, the crowd was veritably quiet while the band played, the Beatles, Blackbird was one of the two encores,, only show i've been to that a comic opened, plus i'd ran into Graham earlier that day in a store and he gave me back stage passes and met Stephen and David too,, all in all,, good day :):)

Best concert I never saw : Springsteen at the Roxy in L. A. . Listened to it at work, though. It was a glimpse into what was to be.
Last concert I saw live: Cyndi Lauper, UC Santa Barbara, 1984.
Concert I had the most fun at: The Motels, 1983, Arlington Theatre, Santa Barbara, CA. (Just got free from an 18-month downward spiraling relationship)
Best free concert: Pacific Stereo Presents: Dr. Hook, 1973, Cow Palace, Daly City, CA (The next 2 concerts were shut down because of gate crashers.)
Best concert to have had better seats than I had: Frank Zappa, 1975, Robertson Gym, UCSB, Santa Barbara, CA (guy a row ahead and six seats over puked over the balcony. Quite a visual for an afternoon show.)

Robin Trower, David Bowie, Kiss, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Van Halen, Styx, Judas Priest and more recently G3 Tour with Joe Satriani, Steve Vai and Eric Johnson. Sorry I can't name just one I've been to many over the years! Most favorite for the eyes would be Kiss but best for sound G3 followed by Robin Trower in the early 80's.

I love going to concerts and its hard to choose a best...but here goes.
Yes with Rick Wakeman about 3 years ago he was incredible
We see the Allman Brothers whenever we can and they are great now with Derek Trucks and Warren Haynes. Recently saw Gregg and friends at Mohegan Sun in CT and he was awesome. Had a lifelong friend Floyd Miles sing and that was wonderful.
Spent the extra bucks and saw Clapton in October definitely worth it. He had Derek Trucks with him and he is a new favorite of mine. You can watch him play and my mouth drops. How does he do that?
As for long ago concerts I went to Watkins Glen in 73 and saw the Dead, the Band and the Allman Brothers all at their best.
and when I was 16 saw Yes in concert in CT and the band that opened for them was a little known band called the Eagles.
My very first concert was Frank Zappa and the mothers and the opener was Chuck Berry!!

Moody Blues backed by the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra...it was *amazing*!! I will never forget that concert!
Second place goes to Billy Joel...I've seen him in concert 3 times and every show was full of energy and worth every penny!
