Your question shows your ignorance. Gender has nothing to do with leadership. It is the character of the individual that is important.

I have worked with many politicians, mostly male, but a few female as well. In no longer work for a PA State politician, but I would have to say it depended on the needs of the area and if they are being met and carefully monitored by you, the very people that elect and support this person.

I hesitate to say too much as I worked for the PA State Senator from Philadelphia's 1st District. The one who has recently been indicted by the FBI and the IRS with over "139" counts of fraud, not to mention the fact that he was accused of "using his employees for personal jobs and political gain" facing him. When I was hired by this "huge" source of power, I was in awe. Of him, the entire Legislative process. When I started I never believed what my family and friends would say about the way the Legislative process worked on the "inside." I was proud to work in the Capitol, I started out as a receptionist and ended up 4 years later becoming the Secretary for the PA Democratic Appropriations chairman.

Now this was the same Senator I started with in the late 80's, by then I knew exactly what went on and could no longer hold my head as high or "brag" about my position. SInce leaving that office right before my 10th year anniversary - years before the announcemnent of the huge investigation being done by both the FBI and the IRS, I would have probably spoken more favorably towards men then women.

All of those years of being right there, women who were lucky enough to get elected on their own merits, standing up for what their constituents needed and wanted and would not be intimidated by the large margin between men and women legislators. They came back every time with a vengence and outside of the few that passed away or went onto the join the United States Legislature, I am the proud constituent of former House Representative Patricia Vance and now State Senator Patricia Vance.

Use your head, let their records speak for themselves. Pay attention to who votes, what there voting for and make sure if it is male or female, you know the real story. Sit with them yourself, ask questions and expect answers. You will know, and if you don't you shouldn't be at the polls without finding out as much information as you can.

I apologize for the length of my comment, I'm sure you wanted a simple answer to a very loaded question. Get involved in your community, check out the officials, the Senator I worked for for almost 10 years was going to retire at the end of his current term. I find it so ironic that he was just a couple of steps towards the Exit Door of his choice, now hopefully justice will prevail and he will not get to choose a door number, or make choices for anything else - especially what he should spend our taxpayer money on - something for himself of course, he didn't even pay for his over the counter remedy for a common problem, but when it didn;t work as planned, one of his staff members had to take him to the emegency room on his own time and our own dime. This was caused by a slightly large blowup of sorts.

Ladies and gentlemen we need changes in our government. We can't change Washington if we can't even change the way our own state has been "used by at least one very well known extremely pwerful and wealthy man" for the last 30 years. Changes have to start in your own back yard before you finish the block.

If you would like to read exactly what this particular leader in question has been charged with, just search for Vincent J. Fumo, PA State Senator - this may help you understand why I went into such details.

Either/or, depending on the individual. It has little to do with gender.

It depends on the individual, not the gender.

God says men are better equipped to be the leaders and women are better equipped to be the helpers. But since most people are Anti-Christ/Satanic then they are likely to disagree with what God has to say on any subject.
