I like swimming. I also like rock climbing.
But my favorite game is the ancient Asian board game called go (also wei qi, baduk, and igo). Opponents take turns placing black and white stones on the intersections of a 19x19 board trying to surround and control territory. It has been around since at least 500 bc and perhaps longer. The rules are easier to learn than chess, but there are many more levels of complexity in mastering it. It is also easy to handicap, allowing two people of vastly different strengths to have a fair fight. Most importantly, it's just plain fun.
Icehouse games, Trivial Pursuit, Boggle, and Apples to Apples are fun to.
