The short answer....yes, they are.

Basically, its good for employers, bad for employees. There are numerous things wrong with the new laws. Some of which are in certain conditions workers can be unfairly dismissed from work, be restricted from taking industrial action and no longer have the safe guard of the 'no disadvantage' test.

These laws have had serious negative affects on workers. Most recently there has been a highly publicised case in WA about mine workers that all had over 20 years experience and were fired 7 days before Christmas. No warning, no reason. They could be re-hired if the took a pay cut and lost perks of their job.

Things that make you go "hmmm". Frankly, I don't see how these laws were even allowed by the High Court. In my opinon its a breach of The Constitution.
