If there were GAY ONLY NEIGHBORHOODS would that help keep gaybashers and others from spying on them?

There will always be mixed neighborhoods with gays and straights. Im talking about real estate laws and there rights.

Nah, people will never leave gay people alone...people are so unhappy with their own lives that they love to find fault in others...easier than looking in a mirror.

However, if that was to happen...wow, what a neighborhood it would be, color-coordinated and fashionable. Man, I almost want to move in, even though I'm straight. :o)

Nobody wants to live in a ghetto even a gilded one.
Besides unless you live in a very small or very conservative place you have a gay neighborhood to live in. Look for the rainbow flags, the good cafes and the last independent bookstore in town. These neighborhoods spring up by choice and chance and any attempt to regulate them would ruin their charm.
Anyway I want the right to live where I want.
I read an article that said that the key to revival of downtowns of old cities was artists and gay people. If artists and gay people could be induced to go to old downtown areas and the artists could rehab the lofts for studio space and the gay people could rehab the rest and open little cafes and exquisite little stores, then the rest of the town would follow and downtowns would thrive again.
I forgot where I read this and am too lazy to google it.

It's been a while since I've been in real estate scholl, and i don't know if the law has been extended to include "sexual orientation" in the list of discriminatory practices.

I don't think (any group) only neighborhoods are a good idea.

And as for gay-bashers spying on gays, I'd say they are voyeurs.

I think there should be laws in place that keeps gays away from straights and their children. If it takes a real estate law to do this then so be it.

Nope, they'd in all probability stumble on a manner in, besides. not too some time past, minority communities have been all prepare in seperate neighborhoods called GHETTOs in ny city and different considerable metropolises. It became into an attempt by using the whites to regulate suggested populations. we can see how nicely that worked, do not we? i'm not asserting that finding out directly to stay in such circumstances isn't a workable advice. inspite of the undeniable fact that, we would desire to constantly be UNITING, not DIVIDING. you start up apart from specific communities and you purely perpetuate the present standards of habit. we would desire to constantly be finding to the destiny, not the previous.
