First of all, NEVER CUT YOUR GRASS IN THE DAY TIME!!!! It really all depend's on where you live and how hot it get's there, as well as what type of grass you have. The best time to mow AND water is around dusk, that way it doesn't have to endure the sun baking it or family, ect. tromping it as soon as it has been cut. Just as watering in the evening will keep your lawn moist longer, and the hotter it get's the more water you want to give. I buy miracle grow very cheap at the local dollar store and at least once a month I like to take my 13 gal. garbage can out to the yard and as it fill's w/water I toss in a hand full or two of the mircle grow and when the g-can is full I kick it over then move on to the next spot, my lawn love's it and it show's! No offense ot anyone else's anwser but someone suggested using "weed & feed", but unless you have an obvious weed problem, you may find yourself w/not much lawn, unless you or whoever planted your grass originally bought expensive seed or sod and used expensive turf builder's, killer's, feed's, ect., ect... then you would be surprised just what all make's up your beautiful lawn........good luck and remember, taller is better than too short! Drop your mower wheel's a notch!!!

its ok to mow your lawn at anytime as long as its not frosty, don't tread on it either when its frozen or it will die off where you tread. the mistakew most people make is to cut the grass too short, set the blades as high as they will go and mow the lawn at that levl, you will soon have proper grass thats thick, you should also feed it with a good ferilizer, take a look at the side of the box, you should look for the numbers 7.7.7, thats the amount of nitrogen, iron and potassium in the feed, some others have differing amounts, but 777 is a good all rounder. it will burn out any moss and feed the grass, iron will make the grass very green and look good.

That all depends on the type of grass you have..there are many varieties if you have just good old green grass.then the best way to figure out how to cut it is to let it go to seed..once grass get's long it get's little budds on the top..well messure the lenght of the blade of grass up to the point where the budd starts..and then minus 1inch or 3cm depending on where you live..and remember to never cut your grass when the sun is out..full force.a good time is right after the morning dew is gone..but the best time to cut the grass is after dinner just before the sun goes down..

If its a healthy lawn you can probably cut it anytime during the day but the experts recommend cutting it in the late afternoon. I would at least wait until the dew has evaporated.

Well, if it is growing, then cut it in the afternoon after it is about two or three inches long.
