is there memorial to the freedom fighter and mp bobby sands that i can visit?

i heard they have placed one in his native twinbrook i would love to pay my respects to this fallen hero

You could visit his grave and other Republicans who died in the struggle, at Milltown cemetery on the Falls Road.

I sincerely hope that there is not. Bobby Sands was in prison for murdering innocent people.

Regardless of your view of the NI political situation, perhaps you should begin by paying your respects to the victims (from both sides) of the likes of Sands and his ilk. You could begin with events such as Eneskillin, Omagh & Harrods.

For my part (even though I was threatened with violence for refusing to make a 'contribution to the cause' whilst at a friend's birthday party in a Kilburn pub), I understand and have some sympathy for the grievences that the republicans have. That said, change will only come via the ballot box. It will never (and can never be allowed) to come about by the indescriminate use of violence.
