Why haven't the Pothead Pixies etc, GM Modified Skunk(Grass, Green, Weed call it what you want) so it doesn't smell like they are smoking it as it's a dead give away
Not that I condone smoking it but I must admit I have but would say to all youngsters to stear clear of it:-)

Not condoning it was a PC statement as I was a cough "Smoker" for a long time and still like the odd Slice of cake or Cookie!;-)

I suspect the government have prohibited this excellent idea, as it would mean the loss of so much money for them !
If they don't catch the smokers, they make no money. They want to catch them.

I don't think your first detail makes sense. I think you are asking why we haven't made marijane so that it doesn't let off that wonderfully distinct odor?
Well first off, some of us attempt to cover the smell with open windows, febreeze, and/or jasmine. But on the other hand, if we grew/processed it so that it had a new/different smell, this would just become well-known and the problem would return.
I wish you had written the question details in a way that made sense. :-\

Our idiot government have probably put a block on the research (given that it's not in the public's best interests!) but that's another issue as technology becomes less expensive then maybe and maybe you will be able to modify other "things".

I smoke it in the privacy in my own bedroom, but it won't stop Porky the police officer from knocking down my door. I know it's illegal but like the aliens I don't care!

I USED TO SMOKE IT BUT I LOVED THE SMELL OF IT AS IT WAS BEING ROLLED I LIKE THE SMELL OF IT BUT YH IT IS VERY NOTICABLE
