Join a local job agency, they will be able to put you forward for temporary positions that they have available - this is a great way to get experience doing different jobs and working in different environments so you find what you like to do.

If you need help writing a CV contact your local Job Centre Plus - not only will they sign you up for regular jobs but they provide help with information on writing CVs and applying for jobs. It may also be likely that you are able to claim job seekers allowance which is not a lot but will help you with money for the interim until you find a job. Job Centre Plus also sometimes provide loans for things like travelling to interviews and buying a suit for an interview.

If you don't mind working in a shop or cafe you could try walking through the local area and looking for any "help wanted" signs. Again, this would give you experience and confidence to get another job.

Also try looking in your local paper as often there are adverts for jobs and people are looking for trainees etc. You may be eligable at 22 for a Modern Apprenticeship or similar where they will pay for you to train on the job.

Anahi, try looking at monster.co.uk or in the online classifieds section of a major newspaper. I took a peek at monster.co.uk and found a few entry-level positions such as helpdesk- mobile technologies and female security officers at Gatwick. Just search in your area and look through all the results.

Neither of those two jobs I mentioned above listed a cv or a level as a requirement.

You can also search for temp agencies- you go there, list all your schooling and work experience (if any), some references, and they find temporary or permanent jobs that fit you. I got a job with no work experience through a temp agency.

Good luck!

See what translation work you can get - being bi-lingual can often pay good - especially in call centres.

And for those call centres where they require a degree - thats BS. I've worked in call centres with teenagers who are still in high school and working part time.

Call the call centres - push your bi-lingualism - especially in the larger towns like London, Liverpool, Manchester & Birmingham.
And try and get a GED equivalency certificate if possible. There must be something that is equivalent to GCEs and/or A levels that employers can accept.
