Nothing fishy...I did not measure it wrong either...I have my Mother, & a roommate living with me now...we are RENTING a house that the owners are trying to sell....for 800.00 a month...plus we are doing fix up on it.....it was too good a deal to pass up...& we are looking into doing the rent to own with the current owners...the room was added on to be what they called a "Great Room"....the entire house is over 5,000 sq feet itself....if I have to post pictures I will!....

I love Penguins! So I would decorate in such a way, but you really have to go with your interest on this one!

I have a large bedroom not as big as yours but obviously there is no need to put all of the furniture against the wall as space is not an issue...put furniture on angles...or in the middle of the room and maybe like a sleeping and reading area maybe a work out area witha large mirror...with the two kids think of how you will spend your time in there and decorate around it...maybe go online and check out decorating large spaces...I bet you'll see allot of warehouses or old refurbished barns...with large rooms and that should give you some ideas...goodluck! but untill you fill it up with furniture jsut put your bedroom ...sleeping area smack dab in the middle of the room...like you meant to do it that way...

Get creative. Put a room within a room. Have an area for the bed. One section of the room could be just for sitting and talking. This section has two chairs side by side with a small couch across from them, there is a coffee table in the middle.
You can have a study area or office. Are you into music? Put in an area where you can express your appreciation for music.

1,200 sq feet??? Thats about half the size of my 5 bedroom, 4 bathroom home. That sure would be one HUGE room to decorate. Have fun.

If you have a 1,200 square foot bedroom, you can afford a professional decorator.

I suppose you could put in a swing set or perhaps a mud wrestling ring.

I'd be lost in it! Ours is just 14 foot by 12 feet.

you may have measured your room wrong....seeing that you are a single mother of 2 kids...how could you afford such luxury....it sounds fishy to me...maybe in your wildest dreams;)
