We don't need no education,
We don't need no thought control,
No dark sarcasm in the classroom,
Teachers leave them kids alone."

"another brick in the wall" by pink floyd. From the album "the wall" released 1979. The song is actually in 3 parts in the album and is a protest of sorts against too strict schooling (especially boarding). The song was banned in several countries. And - the song did go Number 1 the only chart topper for this group. The song includes a real kids choir who all later got together (through a special website set up for them to fidn each other) and sued Pink Floyd for royalty and each choir member got about 500 pounds.

My six year old loves this song. It is so cool to be mom when I play the stuff I listened to as a child and I get to share it with him. None of this crap you hear today but what rock was really about!
