ok I'm only 17 and I'm completely paranoid and nervous with the possibility of pregnancy..I've had sex once in my life on feb.1 ever since that day I thought I was pregnant..we used a condom and it was during my last period 2 days before it ended but my breast seem to be bigger and my lower abdomen is hard/swollen...welll my current cycle was about a week late..I finally got it but it was so much lighter than normal and lasted about 2-3 days ..is this due ti pregnancy or was it the stress I put myself through? I took a urine test at the docs office 3 days after I missed my period and it was negative..so what can it be?

also ive gained about 5 pounds, would i gain 5 pounds in the first month of pregnancy, i dont know if its just my head but i need someone with experience to please help me

Oh you poor thing, I've been the same way. Turned out I was so paranoid and stressed out that I got my period later. I was about ready to die and then I got my period! I think you will be fine, trust me :)

The first time I had sex I was very nervous ,as you are now, with the possibility of been pregnant.I remember that I was waiting a full month before my period came! And it was also lighter and kept about 4 days.I don't remember if I put any kilos but I'm sure that all these had to do with the hormones.Anyway I wasn't pregnant.
But if you wonna feel better why don't you have a pregnancy test?

oh my god! i totally see myself in that position again! i always thought that too after i had sex. i agree that it is the stress of hoping i wasn't pregnant but i strongly believe that its the actual sex that set my periods late. every time i was about due to having my period and i'd have sex, my periods always came later. sex definately has an effect on my cycles.
next time if you are worried about it after having sex, then go to the docs within 72 hours for the "morning after pill". it put my mind at ease.
don't fall preg yet, see the world first - LOVE being young because i have no idea where my years have gone and i'm only 26!

You are not pregnant sweetie I think you have put yourself under SO much stress with worry that you could be... may be the cause of the light period. Relax and just be very careful if you are going to mess around, always use protection. Have fun and enjoy life it's just beginning for you.

Sounds like you are really stressed out about this. Stress can do these symptoms to you. One can also make themselves beleive they are pregnant. I'd go to doc and have a blood test done. That is the sure way to know. They can have results in one hour.

If it would make you feel any better, try taking a home pregnancy test. If that one also says no, then chalk it up to stress. They aren't that expensive and it could give you alot of piece of mind.

Since you got your period - you're not pregnant.

Hopefully you'll think twice before having sex again - you're obviously not ready for the consequences.

You don't mention the condom breaking or anything, so you're likely just going through the hormonal wonkiness that any teenager goes through. Don't worry.

Chances are very low but yes there are.

Take blood test as they are more acurate as compared to urine tests.

Relax and stay calm

1) See a doctor

2) if your paranoid about pregnancy, either use protection or don't have sexual relationships until you are mature enough to cope with the potential consequences.
