1) for instant effect try a a crushed aspirin ( with out the shiney coating) mixed with a bit of water. and use the paste on the spot, toothpaste also works.

You should try the range of Clinique products. Astringent to clean your pores, a facial scrub to remove dry skin, a moisturiser to replenish the natural oils. Whenever cleaning the face always wash hands thoroughly, before touching your face. Unless using the astringent or facial scrub, rinsing the face with cool fresh water and no soap, then padding dry with a clean towel is the best way to treat acne and other spots. Try not to touch your face with unwashed hands or soiled cloths and towels. Using products that dry out the spots and thus the skin can contribute to premature aging. Check with an esthetician or dermatologist for more information.

tea tree oil - either pure oil, or in a stick that's really easy to use and apply. It's great, during the day under make-up, ad even better at night time. Try tea tree face wash too - it deep cleanese your skin and leaves it feeling lovely and clean.
Superdrugs are the cheapest for tea tree stuff - only 2 or 3 ££ each.
