hey, hey... how would you all feel if it was you, asking me? Its not that I hate my job, even though I do. I like the guest that come in here.

No it really is crappy, they have a lunch special kind of like a buffet, they leave out all afternoon then come dinner time they take it to the back and serve it for dinner @ $20 a plate. when it was a $6 buffet.

What may be crappy to you...may not be to some one else....I would offer other suggestions...then tell them something like "Dining off the property is a great way to see the City"...or town..whichever....
We don't have a restaurant in the motel that I work at, but the Kettle is right next door..so when someone asks if it is any good....is like IHOP or Denny's....I tell them they would do better going to IHOP or Denny's...lol...
Just use your best judgement...

why ever would you continue to work in a place like that? I would find a job in a more reputable establishment. I certainly couldnt serve stuff to others that I wouldnt eat myself. Thats belittling yourself. Your reputation is on the line as well As the server, its YOUR face the dissatisfied customer is going to remember, not the crappy chef, who they never see.

I would let them find out for themselves, they might not think the food is crappy. I would not want to eat there, though. =)

I would suggest another restaurant, if asked, but generally let them find out for themselves.

Do you want to be fired?
Maybe best for them to find out for themselves if you want your job, then act totally suprised when they complain!
