It was a few days from christmas, and she would not have had money for it. I gave her the support money instead of going through the registry. All she has to do is write out a receipt and I can get credit for it. She refuses. I am now considered behind, and if I wouldn't have done what i did, I still would be the bad person. Why is she making it hard for me to do whats right.

Shame on her and I guess you learned a lesson in not doing that again. Or if you have to make sure you write her a check or a cashiers check to where you have a reciept. She is being selfish and just wanting more money out of you. If I was you I would go ahead and get caught up so you dont get in trouble, but continue to try and get a reciept from her. I would also tell her that you wont help her out like that again. And if she calls and says the kids need something, you go buy it yourself instead of giving her money. I applaud you for paying your child support, my ex never did which made it hard on my and my kids. But go ahead and pay again so you dont get in trouble, and still pursue a reciept from her. Shame on her though, but dont ever give her money again like that. And I would remind her that the next time she needs money she will have to wait for you to send it to the registry. And also if the kids need something, you buy it for them and save your reciept. You arent the bad guy, you are doing what is right.

Don't ever trust your ex all she want is revenge. Obviously she is holding a grudge on you which is sad because your child or children suffer from negative stuff they see. Your intentions meant well but next time be more careful and always go through registry so you can have a receipt of your payments. God don't like ugly and all your ex spiteful ways are going to come back and bite her in the a**. Sir I applaud you for being a better person than she is in your situation.

welcome to the wonderful unforgiving world of ex wives. Sorry hun wish I could be of more help but I cant. The registry no matter will considered that money just a gift since it didnt go through them. Best advice is to get caught up with the registry, and next time just let her figure it out. Make sure that you always go through the registry on that matter... She wants things to be compilcated so that she can attempt to make your life a living hell and to let you know that she is still there!!!!!!

I'm so sorry that happened to you, it's not right that she did that to you. You were helping her out and trying to be good person, and it back fired on you. Obviously she is a mean person who has no sense of right or wrong, that's just pure evil. Again, I am so sorry that happened to you. Sorry if this is long, but it may help you.
The only thing that I can tell you is there is a such thing as Karma, and when it comes back to her it's going to come back way harder than what she gave out.
Next time she tries any thing such as that,don't do it it won't make you a bad guy since she already burned you once. Don't ever do it again unless she fixes this and makes it right between you.
Try doing this, get a small tape recorder and put it in your shirt pocket, go and visit her and see if you can get her to admit to your giving her the money. You will need to be slick to make it works, after you get her to admit it don't say any thing until later after you check the tape and make sure it is on there. You don't want her to have a heads up in case you don't get it the first time.
If you catch her saying it on tape there is your proof. Try to get her to come out side her house when you talk with her. You can tape her since it is out in the open (public) and in public there is no expectation of privacy so that it isn't illegal to tape her. When we are in a public setting any one can hear what we are saying, and that is why she has no expectation of privacy. If you are not sure, check the law where you live.
If you catch her take her to small claims court and sue her for the return of your money, she will have to repay you. She may also owe you for ruining your reputation and for causing you to look as if you didn't pay her when in fact you did. It will not make her look very good, as what she did was steal from you.
I saw that on Judge Judy where some one used a tape recorder to get a confession from some one. It held up in small claims court and the person had to pay the money back and the person was awarded damages too.
Remember she took you there and it wasn't right, get her to fess up it's only right and fair to get this fixed.
Good luck with this, I have no doubt that if you try hard you will be able to prove this. You just need her to open her mouth and say it out loud. Say things to her like come on so and so give me a reciept for the money I advanced you on the child support. Make this right because what will happen if you need the money early again some time, how will I ever be able to help you out again.

Wow, do you have any paper trails you can use to prove that the money was given to her directly????I don't know what to tell you about why women make some situations so complicated? but if it is revenge she is after, then she needs to realize she is only hurting herself, people aren't going to listen to what she has to say if she keeps this type of stinky attitude.....

some women are just bi tches that way. now you know not to do that stuff for her, even tho you love your kids a great deal. if that's the way she wants to play, then just do what you are supposed to thru the registry and leave it at that. your kids will understand when they are older.
