Stress can cause fluctuations in the menstral cycle causing a period to be delayed or skipped all together. It's quite common. Stress can effect your hormone levels which then effect your cycle.
If it happens again next month I would see your doctor. But it's not abnormal for a woman to skip a period. If you are really concerned then see your doctor now. He can do a blood HCG test which is a better indication of pregnancy. Perhaps you ovulated late in your cycle.

There are a LOT of reasons why you could be late.
-Are you under a lot of stress?
-Have you recently made any major changes in your life (job, relationship, location)?
-Has your body weight recently fluctuated significantly (gain or loss of a lot of weight)?
-Have you changed your diet drastically?
-Do you have any unusual symptoms (pains, cramps, etc)?
It could be something as simple as stressing about not having your period or other normal stresses, or it could be something more serious - such as an STD, hormone fluctuations, yeast infection, etc.
If you do not get your cycle again by the end of the month (two months late), I would recommend meeting with your gynecologist or taking another pregnancy test (preferably blood test)!
Hope for the best!

maybe u did these tests too early coz it is just 14 days and to conceive it takes atleast 15-20 days so u should wait for a week more and if u still dont get periods then get a pregnancy test done and the results will be accurate.

You may not have ovulated this month, and therefore would not experience a period.
Check out the article referenced in my sources. That should clear things up for you.

There are many reasons - both physical and psychological. Best bet is to ask your doctor as the situation is likely very specific to you.

if you are under stress, that can cause your cycle to be irregular. Some women who smoke have irregular cycles too. You should go to an OBGYN, they can help figure out what's going on with you :~) Best of luck to you

Please go to see your gynecologist! This could be due to any number of things, from cysts to fibromas to early menopause (you didn't say how old you are) or due to just stress.
