Hi...... Anyone know of laptop brand's, prone to overheating?.... Any good brand's out there, that stay cool after 2 or 3 hr's or so?..... If so,.... which?

Yeah I bought a Toshiba Satellite A75 and it would overheat really quickly and shut down. But I've had tons of worse problems with it, including that it would shut down or freeze even if it didn't overheat, and I wouldn't recommend it. At least not what I have. Something's defective about it. I got a letter recently about a class-action lawsuit pending against Toshiba right now regarding that issue. Plus Toshiba's warranty department and consumer relations department suck.
Make sure that your laptop is only placed on a flat surface (not your lap, couch, etc.) and make sure it's got those little rubber things on the bottom on each corner (they fall out sometimes) when it's on your desk. I ultimately solved the overheating problem by getting the Targus Chillmat that Tiffalicious recommended to you.
I don't know about other brands, but Toshiba sucks.

there was big thing about many laptop batteries overheating. check with the maker of your laptop and see if the battery is on recall.

All laptops get pretty hot after a while.
Look into buying a Targus Chillmat. :)
It says there $29.99, but you can pick them up at Walmart for $19.99!!!
