make a plan for your after schol time
organise time for homework, studing test and prepraing for subjects u have hard time with
and also time for entertainment and fun
next u need to have the right atmosphere
choose a quiet place (bedroom, kitchen..etc)
away from ur friends, family. tv. phones..etc
good lightning and no distractions around u (food. magzines, posters)
study for 30 min ...then take a break 5-8 min.
go get cold drink, snacks, entertain yourself
and get back to study
if u start daydreaming .. stand up.. stretch , cool down and get back
for every 2:30- 3 hours tae 30 mints break
also try to switch subjects to relax your brain, effort and concentration
like study biology, then math, then history and so on
always stary with the hardest subject ; to have all the time needed
take notes / revise notes to keep ur information fresh
have a good sleep ( at least 5/6 hours) and big breakfast
wake up early if u have a test to revise only main points ( between 4:30, 5 ,6) anytime u wish , since early hours are very refreshing.. now u are ready
remember perfect study makes A
IT depends on the quality not the quantity you spend on studing.
be smart in planning and the strategy of studing
get help from ur teacher, organise groups to study
i followed that plan..now i am a A student
need any help

Take a break. It's actually a good idea to take a 15 min. break for every hour you study. While you are studying your brain is actually developing new neural pathways. It takes a decent amount of energy and is a physical process. There is a limit to how much you can learn and how long you can go on.
Doing something physically active in between is a good idea. It helps to get your blood flowing more (which your brain needs!) and can help you to feel refreshed. Alternately a short 15 min rest/nap can be good too. Even just laying down with eyes shut can help. It gives your mind and body a break. Rest is a good thing.
Maybe even fixing a little snack. Veggies are good, you can't go wrong there. Even protein in meats and cheeses. Stay away from anything heavy or with too much fat as that can drag you down more.
I like to alternate them or mix them up according to how I feel at the time.
It's like anything else: If you don't make it a chore and don't force it it'll come a lot more easily and effectively.

When you are studying, take a break after 2-3 hours. Have a chocolate, watch the TV. or go an see a movie. You can go for a walk in the park.
all these things will freshen you and you will have concentration in your studies.

1st of all studying for 3-4 hourse continuously is not good at all! Try studying for two hourse max... then take a break for about 15-30mins... during your break do NOT watch t.v but instead sit outdoors or listen to music... relax your mind. Never tax it. After your break start studying again with a freash mind. And during those 1-2 hourse of studying take short little breaks. And get enough of sleep!
All the best! take care!

All this talk of taking a break r steps towards procrastination. Remember, no one ever died from hard work. Ur mind shall slowly get conditioned to longer hours of study if u don't give up after an hour or two.

You need breaks inbetween. Also, study in the same area (perhaps you sit in a library) all the time. Quiet area. A little note, what you study right before bed, you will most likely remember more easily.

Don't study continously, take a break every so often just to watch tv or read a book or whatever you do to entertain yourself. Then when you go back to study you'll be more fresh and awake.

after studying splash your face with luke warm water, take a glass of milk and try to take studies off your mind when once you've closed your books. do anything- cooking, playing, watching a good movie... also read something else besides your school stuff. in my board years i used to read light literature, it really helps. it is not the studies but the tension of board exams that is tiring you. tension never helps--- u'll only screw things up believe me.
best of luck for your exams
