I work with a person who rarely speaks to anyone, she assumes a lot without speaking to anyone including my boss. She has gone to his superior to turn everyone in for things that aren't even happening and we are forced to defend ourselves on false accusations. It can do more than lead to misunderstandings, it can ruin lives.
