firstly because of the data protection act you wont be allowed access to employee records. the only people who have direct access to this is the human resources dept and payroll.
try contacting either of these departments and asking them to contact the/these employees on your behalf and if they (employee) consent they can contact you but you'd need a legitamate reason why you'd need to conact them. if the employee doesnt want to know you, then that's it unless you get info from the grapevine but then you may have to qquestion its reliability.

if you belong to a small company try looking up its organisational structure.

your access and possibly whether the HR or payroll dept help you could also depend on your position.

Only the Personnel/Human Resources Department of the organisation will hold a current/up-to-date list of who works there. And they can NOT release any information with out the WRITTEN permission of the person in question.

if you mean ordinary employees I doubt if you could as this might breech the data protection act
