What grade do you have to be in so you can play moonlight sonata?

I played it for a recital piece when I was 8; however, it's not considered to be very complicated after that...when I was 10 I played selections from "The Nutcracker" (Tchaikovsky) - including "Chinese Dance" and "Dance of the Sugarplum (Candy) Fairies" - that was pretty challenging.

You do need to have some reach to play "Moonlight", esp. the second movement. So a child (with little fingers) might have trouble playing the chords which are over an octave.
