How do I get my Blackberry's external keyboard to work?

I bought a cool roll out keyboard which can be attached to my Blackberry so I can type easier without using my thumbs. I can't seem to get it to work. Help!

i was looking at a few site, to check out the keyboards. it seems like all the keyboards do not work with all the blackberry's. Here are a few links. I did not know if you new about blackberrycool.com it is a site that talks about the new blackberry devices.
